OBITUARY
n[/if 73]n
Nancy Sue Clayton passed away on August 14, 2026, surrounded by her family in her final hours.
For over 60 years, she was a fiercely devoted mother to her sons Robert and Michael. She lived with her husband Zane, who made her life beautiful, for over 30 years. She was very close with her grandchildren, Jamie and Max.
She was a beloved sister to Slyvia, daughter to Rose, and aunt to Bonnie, Lance, Valerie, Stacie, and Alison. Alison was like a daughter to her. She became the matriarch of her extended family, including Melissa, Alex, and Jeremy.
Though Nancy struggled with many challenges throughout her life, including chronic heart conditions, she faced them with courage. Other than her family, her foremost passion was athletic activity, including riding horses, rowing, and CrossFit. Even after multiple heart surgeries, she continued to challenge herself by lifting weights.
She will be remembered for her courage and strength in the face of her many health conditions, and her fierce devotion to those she loved. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
