OBITUARY
Warren Peter Wishnew of Port Washington, New York, passed away on February 1, 2026 at the age of 86. He was born on February 1, 1940, in New York
Warren was a proud New Yorker through and through, with a lifelong appreciation for all that the city had to offer. He was a graduate of C.W. Post College and spent his career in the textile industry. Warren was the son of Jack and Zelda Wishnew. He leaves behind his wife, Susan Flyer Wishnew and daughter Elisabeth Wishnew.
An avid sports fan, an accomplished cook, and an enthusiastic traveler, Warren embraced life with energy and passion. Among his many journeys with his loving wife, his favorite destination was going to Anguilla, a place that brought them great joy and lasting memories.
In Jewish tradition, dying on one’s birthday is seen as a sign of righteousness, symbolizing a complete and blessed life in which a person’s earthly mission is fulfilled on the same day it began
Warren will be remembered for his warmth, his interests, and his enduring love for New York. He is fondly remembered by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in Warren’s memory to Tunnels to Tower or St. Jude Children’s Hospital

Susan-Sue and I want to express our sincerest condolences.
