OBITUARY
Sandra Winkler passed peacefully at the age of 87 on December 26, 2025, after a battle with cancer. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and devoted friend, she radiated love, warmth and deep caring to everyone who knew her.
Born on September 25, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY, Sandra was a woman who put family at the center of everything she did. Married for almost 70 years, she was a loving and devoted wife and mother, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Her brilliant smile brightened the lives and warmed the hearts of all connected to her.
After raising her two sons, she developed a successful career as a medical office manager, and upon retirement, pursued her interests of attending cultural events, enjoying an active life in NYC, playing mahjong, and creating beautiful needlepoint works.
Sandra found her greatest joy in time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Whether through creating holiday celebrations, attending sporting events and recitals, sharing thoughtful advice, or simply being her humorous self, she showed her love in countless ways. She will be remembered always with deep love and appreciation.
She is survived by her husband, David, her son, Mark and his wife Tara, her son, Brian, her three grandsons (Alex and his wife Rebecca, Daniel and his wife Carolyn, and Nicholas and his partner Julia) her three great grandchildren, her surrogate daughter Joyce and her partner Tom, her brother Walter, along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Life really hit me with a sour lemon, my forever friend but I should be standing saying my thoughts to you as we part ways for a while. You & I will continue to be there for each other remembering our life’s journey of friendship through the memories we made. A keepsake in my heart.❤️ I will always love you.
Alice😘💕
