OBITUARY

Lawrence (Larry) Howard Silverman z”l
January 2, 1951 – April 22, 2026

Lawrence “Larry” Howard Silverman, a man who famously lived his life with the spirit of a “perpetual teenager,” passed away on April 22, 2026. Born in New York on January 2, 1951, Larry brought a youthful energy and a genuine warmth to everyone he encountered throughout his 75 years.

Larry was defined by his infectious zest for life and humor – making light of any situation. He was happiest when the sun was out, the Dodgers were winning, and the classic sounds of Oldies music were playing in the background. A true car enthusiast at heart, he took immense pride in his ‘68 Firebird as well as his highly curated wardrobe that consisted of 100 black shirts, 100 white shirts, designer jeans and shoes and various sport jackets.

His professional journey began in the fast-paced world of the garment district, but his natural gift for salesmanship and his deep love for people eventually led him to follow his own path. As a self-employed business owner specializing in screen printing and embroidery, he treated every client like a friend and every project with personal care.

Above all, Larry’s heart belonged to his family. He was the cherished son of Sam and Roz and a devoted brother to Alan, Lyn, Patti and Henry. He was the long-term love and devoted life partner of Shelley. Larry’s legacy of love continues through his daughters, Jessica and Courtney, and his bonus son, Howie. He was the world’s proudest “Papa” to Gracie, Jackson, Riley, Skyler and Lana.

Larry will be remembered for his schtick, his stories, and the way he never truly “grew up”—in the very best way possible.
