Dear Yoli & Family,
Thank you so very much for inviting us to share your live stream memorial service honoring Ira, as we are now living in Florida.
Ira was one- of- a -kind, & most definitely a unique personality & a force to be reckoned with. Thank G-d we were on his “good” side.
Yes, he had a heart of gold. When Eliot & I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary, Ira arranged for us to stay” gratis” at a small apartment his company kept for him when he was in Manhattan on business. Nothing fancy, but we loved it. At night you heard the ambulance sirens, cars honking, & lights flashing in & out of our blinds. Not conducive to much sleep, but we knew we were in Manhattan & the next day we’d see a show & have dinner out, partly because of Ira caring enough to arrange our overnight stay.
We also shared a timeshare in Aruba on the “calm” side. We totally agreed on splitting all expenses, including car rental, restaurants, & sightseeing tours. However, one thing we could not agree upon was the temperature of our air conditioning in our two bedroom timeshare. I liked hotter & they liked colder. Yoli used to sneak into the living room at night to raise the air. I felt the difference immediately, but never let her know I did.
Our friendship with Ira & Yoli go waaay back, & through thick & thin they were always there for us.
May G-d bless you Ira, for you being you.
Love & good memories,
Connie & Eliot Levy
