OBITUARY
Gerald Horowitz, 90, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away on May 15, 2026. Born on February 25, 1936 to Julius Horowitz and Eva Messenger, Gerald was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He married Eleanor Zitren in 1961 and resided in the Bronx for the next 42 years. Upon his retirement from the City of New York, Gerald retired to Delray Beach, Florida. He was a proud member of the Knights of Pythias and the Palm Greens COPS Program.
Gerald enjoyed playing tennis, shuffleboard, traveling and watching televised basketball, baseball and football games with his friends and family.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Eleanor; his daughter Susan and her husband Vincent, son Michael and his beloved grandchildren, Alexa and Joseph. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Marilyn and her husband Barry along with many loving nieces and nephews.
