Dawn was a beacon of light and an amazing power of example. You will be missed my Friend. My condolences to all her family and friends.
Going to really miss you my friend, you were an inspiration and a kind and giving friend, my heart hurts but I know you are at peace.
Dawn was such an inspiration to so many. She was so involved in life and a true power of example.
She will be missed.
Dawn brought joy and peace to so many of us. I honor her everlasting memory with love.
I first met Dawn when she was enrolled in my fourth grade class at Temple Beth El of Huntington. She was a very plucky little kid, not to be held back or defined by her crutches. She fearlessly negotiated the stairway to my classroom and was an enthusiastic volunteer for every play, game or challenge. It was easy to keep track of her over the years as she took on tough Special Olympics’ competitions. But that was Dawn. Her eventual wheel chair was not a boundary for her. She won hundreds of gold medals and inspired others to excel. Dawn was a trailblazer. I saw her several weeks ago before she was going to go into surgery and she told me that her dream was to be in the real Olympics and that she was going to train for it. That was Dawn, always aiming higher. Unburdened by her physical limitations, she can finally rest. May she continue to be a blessing and inspiration to all of us who knew and loved her.
Rest in peace Dawn 🙏
Rest easy cuz. You are at peace.
Going to really miss you, Dawn. You were such an inspiration and a kind and giving friend!! My heart hurts, but I know you are at peace.
Dawn was such a power of example in so many ways. First she was always there for others , no matter what her situation was, she was always doing service. Her smile was contagious and her optimism was always present. No matter what she was going through, she was always grateful. She was a powerhouse, and never let anything stop her, and will be sorely missed by sooo many. RIP DAWN. They broke the mold with you my friend.
dawn I will miss you my friend
Thank you for the wonderful service! Dawn spoke so highly of Cantor Lisa, and I can see why. What a lovely memorial. I was a sober friend of Dawn’s and blessed to know her. I visited her in the hospital early September, before going away, and when I returned from my trip, she was gone. I am so relieved she is out of pain now. I send my heartfelt condolences and blessings to all Dawn’s family, to all she loved and cared for. If anyone, I know Dawn rests in God’s arms, and God rests in her arms. Many thanks, Rob (Adele) Kristiansson
Thank you, Dawn. You will always be remembered for teaching us how to live.
