Burton Sidney Milrod, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away peacefully in Scottsdale, Arizona on Wednesday January 31, 2024 at the age of 93 surrounded by his two daughters and wife of (nearly 66) years. From his birth on November 18, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY, to the union of Sarah and Joseph Milrod, he was a strong influence in the lives of everyone he touched. Burt is preceded in death by his father and mother, and his sister Marilyn Frankreich. Burt came to love Arizona when stationed at Fort Huachuca during his Korean War Army service and he and Rosalind settled in Scottsdale, Arizona, in the Valley of the Sun 21 years ago.
Burt attended James Madison High School and Brooklyn College, graduating “All but Dissertation” in Brooklyn. He met and married Rosalind Fishman in New York City and settled to raise their two daughters on Long Island in Baldwin, NY. Burt ensured that their family had a full life and was proud of both his family and his civic work. He was active in the Rotary Club, becoming President of the Rotary Club of Freeport, NY. Burt was a high school science teacher and, eventually, a full time entrepreneur, where he ran a wholesale toy and hobby business with his wife for many years.

Burt is survived by his wife Rosalind, daughters Eve Halwani and Donna Milrod, Grandchildren Elliott, Ariel and Adena Halwani, and Michael and Ethan Feeney. Sister Barbara Epstein and nieces Beth and Bonnie Frankreich, and nephews Brian and Matthew Epstein, and many extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday February 4th at 11am at Beth Moses Cemetery, 1500 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704.
