 Kevin Gray  Andrew Novak
Kevin has been in the funeral industry for over thirty years starting out as a stock boy for his father's funeral home supply company. He eventually founded a casket company that became the largest provider of Orthodox wooden caskets in the country. As the funeral industry became impacted by takeovers and buyouts, he sold his casket wholesaling company and seized upon an opportunity to sell caskets directly to the general public through retail casket stores and over the internet. Through this endeavor, Kevin got a feel for assisting families in their time of need and decided to become a funeral director, where he could be a comfort to families throughout the entire funeral process. He enrolled in Mortuary Science School, earned his degree two years later and received his funeral directors license in 2004
Andrew is a relative newcomer to the funeral industry although he always had an interest in the industry. Andrew owned a very large and successful scrap yard in Oceanside for over twenty years but decided to sell his business in order to pursue his lifelong dream of a career in Mortuary Science. He enrolled in the academy, earned his degree and received his license in 2002. He opened the B'nai Sholom Funeral Home in Island Park and built a strong following of satisfied families. He and Kevin elected to join forces and build a funeral home adjacent to the major cemeteries on Long Island. And thus, Star of David was born.

We believe the privilege of assisting families in a most difficult time is a sacred trust and a higher calling. The loss of a loved one can be devastating. By offering compassionate, thoughtful, and attentive service to those in their time of need, we believe we can make a difference. Nothing can eliminate the pain from the loss of a loved one. Our goal is to ensure that a family's wishes are carried out and a difficult day goes as smoothly as possible.

Please contact us if we can assist you in any way.

Pre Plan Funerals Today

Dear Kevin and Andrew:
We would be remiss if we did not write thank you for helping us through the funeral of my mother, Bertha. It is really nice know that not only are there still knowledgeable, honest, and caring people in the funeral home business; but that they also happen to have the best values and care one could hope for such a dreadful time!
Roberta Kalachman

What impressed me was how during our difficult time, you did the right thing as businessmen. That's why I'm writing this letter. Please feel free to post it and show potential clients who may have any trepidation of using your company. I am as finicky as it comes and you past with flying colors. Be assured that I will recommend your service to anyone I meet.
Mike and Jennifer Sharinn
